What is Creativity?
I think you can say Creativity is the act of turning new and imaginative ideas into reality. Creativity can be a way for people to communicate and express their feelings.
You can be creative in many different ways, you can draw, or write, or dance, but anything you do can be creative. I think this is the cool thing about being creative, there are no rules. Creativity is the quality that you bring to the activity you are doing. It is an attitude, it is how you look at things. Activity itself is neither creative or neither uncreative. So you can paint in an uncreative way, or you can dance in an uncreative way, but for example you can clean the floor in a creative way or cook in a creative way. So to be creative, you need to be able to view things in new ways or from a different perspective.
I think that can be really difficult sometimes, to look at things from a new perspective. I think everybody is born creative. Children are full of imagination and Creativity. As children we invent new games, have imaginary friends and can play for hours in our own world. I think the way you grow up has a lot to do with Creativity and if you are able to keep this Imagination you have as a child. Some parents lead their children to never think for themselves, or to keep those thoughts in. Other parents are free spirits and let their children be themselves.
Also society stops us from letting our Creativity and our Imagination in Society makes us think there is just one way, or just one right way to look at things. This is why many people think they can not be creative. If you believe that, you will become uncreative. Because belief can open doors or close doors. So you have to accept to be creative, to open a new door and to see things in a different perspective.
If you want to be creative, you have to enjoy what you are doing. If you for example dance, you dance because you like to dancing and you can just be good and creative, when you enjoy what you are doing.
